Overview

The Profile:
“Al Ostaz” is a specialised Arabic AI proofreading assistant designed for content writers, marketers, and SEO professionals.

The system was created to solve a recurring problem in Arabic content production:

  • weak proofreading standards
  • repetitive AI-generated writing patterns
  • poor SEO execution
  • and lack of objective content evaluation systems

The Challenge

A large percentage of Arabic content suffers from recurring issues:

  • Linguistic and grammatical mistakes
  • Weak sentence structure
  • Overuse of generic AI-generated phrasing
  • Poor SEO optimisation
  • Content written without clear evaluation criteria

Most available AI tools focused on generating content…
but very few focused on critically evaluating it.

The objective was to create a system capable of:

  • analysing Arabic content rigorously
  • detecting common writing weaknesses
  • identifying AI clichés automatically
  • and providing measurable quality scoring

The Approach

1) Building a Strict Arabic Evaluation Framework

The GPT was trained on:

  • Advanced Arabic linguistic rules
  • Common content writing mistakes
  • SEO writing standards
  • Readability and structure principles
  • Copywriting evaluation criteria

The framework focused heavily on issues commonly found in Arabic digital content.

2) AI Cliché Detection System

One of the core differentiators was the integration of AI cliché detection.

The system was trained to identify:

  • repetitive AI-generated phrasing
  • weak generic introductions
  • predictable structural patterns
  • overused marketing expressions

This allowed the tool to flag content that “sounds AI-generated” even when technically correct.

3) Context-Based Evaluation Flow

The tool was designed as an interactive evaluation assistant rather than a one-click corrector.

Users are first asked:

  • What type of content are you writing?
    • Article
    • Social media post
    • Other formats

If the content is SEO-focused, the system also requests:

  • target keywords
  • search intent context

This allows the evaluation process to adapt based on content goals rather than applying generic corrections.

4) Scoring & Performance Assessment

At the end of each evaluation, the system generates:

  • detailed feedback
  • strengths and weaknesses
  • improvement recommendations
  • and a final score out of 100

The scoring model is based on:

  • language quality
  • clarity
  • SEO optimisation
  • structure
  • readability
  • AI cliché detection
  • and strategic writing standards

Results

  • Successfully launched in May 2025
  • Achieved 700+ uses after release
  • Created a structured quality-control workflow for Arabic writers
  • Helped writers identify hidden AI-generated writing patterns
  • Positioned the tool as a practical assistant for Arabic SEO and content quality evaluation
